Range of application
The RH has many applications in the primary metals, metal fabrication, utilities, petroleum, chemical, automotive and aerospace industries.

The RH portable hardness tester revolutionises the traditional Rockwell hardness tester. This tester is a high-tech instrument that combines typical Rockwell or superficial Rockwell test methods with new high accuracy displacement and force sensor technologies.

These versatile testers can be easily used by anyone, anywhere, to obtain direct accurate hardness readings in HRA, HRB, HRC, 15N/T, 30N/T or 45N/T and convert this data to HV, HB and tensile strength. Operating the RH-150 tester is as easy as 1-2-3.

Operation
Operation of the RH is easy and test results can be obtained in seconds. The instrument has an LCD display window which guides the operator through the test procedure.

The sample is first clamped securely to ensure no movement during the test sequence. The minor force (10 kgf) is then applied automatically, followed by the major force (HRA = 60 kgf, HRB = 100 kgf, HRC = 150
kgf). The instrument has an automatic test cycle for high reliability and repeatability with results in < 10 seconds. The result is then displayed.

The RH is battery powered for extra portability.
